Digital Communications Associate


 

We’re looking for a creative Digital Communications Associate to assist on a wide range of tasks that includes: writing social media and short-form content, project managing, and gathering data and analytics that inform digital content strategy. Ideal candidates will be able to think about content across the multimedia spectrum – from video to audio to the written word, collaborate with producers and writers about how to shape content for the web, and maintain a focused attention to detail. Successful applicants will also excel at (and enjoy!) all forms of writing – from emails and client presentations to blogs and tweets.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Manage social media accounts for clients, including writing and creating content as well as scheduling, publishing, and gathering data on social media posts.
  • Assist senior writers with research, creative, copy, and project management for articles, blogs, print documents, video scripts, and more.
  • Own project timelines and deadlines, collaborating closely with senior writers and colleagues to ensure tasks are completed and deadlines are met.
  • Stay up-to-date on the ever-changing digital landscape to inform the team of platform updates and latest trends that will shape content strategy.
  • Gather data and analytics for social media and websites, and present information in a client-friendly format.
  • Research as needed to inform interviews, stories, and presentations.
  • Liaise with colleagues to keep projects updated and respond to client requests.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably specializing in Digital Communications or a relevant field
  • At least two years of experience in Digital Communications with an organization or agency 
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Flexible problem solver with the ability to perform well under stress and deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and work ethic.

This is an office position in our Washington, DC location. Some domestic travel may be required.
